'Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."' {Surah Az Zumar: 53}
A believers life is strewn with events and trials that test his or her faith and steadfstness. He is constantly committing sins both knowingly and unknowingly. This lecture should serve as a reminder to us all about how we should view such events and why we should not despair from the mercy of Allah, Who is Ever Merciful, Ever Forgiving.
