Allaah sent the Qur’aan, in the language of the Arabs, as guidance to mankind. It is a light, a reminder and a conclusive evidence for those who wish to be guided. But how many of us understand the Arabic language? How many of us have contemplated over the Qur’aan and sought to understand and benefit from it?
Soorah al-Faatihah is the greatest chapter of the Qur’aan and there is nothing similar to it in the previous scriptures. This Soorah concisely summarises the message of the entire Qur’aan. It is the first thing a person reads when opening the Qur’aan. Indicating its importance, this Soorah opens the Salaah and it is from its pillars. It is something that is recited at least seventeen times a day and many scholars considered this to be an obligation. For these reasons and more, should it then not encourage you to learn about it? The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’aan and teach it” [Bukhaaree]
This course is based on ‘The Spiritual Cure: An Explanation to Soorah al-Faatihah’. It is a summary of numerous classical commentaries prepared and translated by Aboo Rumaysah.
Allaah says, “Indeed in their stories, there is a lesson for men of understanding. It (the Qur’aan) is not a forged statement but a confirmation of the Allaah's existing Books and a detailed explanation of everything and a guide and a Mercy for the people who believe.” [12:111]
The stories of the Messengers and their nations are a lesson for those of understanding and this Surah is filled with lessons which we can all benefit from. The nature of this Surah teaches a person how to be patient. Yoosuf (as) faced many trials and tribulations but look at the end result – he was reunited with his family and he gained a good position. In this Surah one will learn about: the benefits and effects of having patience, how to deal with trials and tribulations, the evil consequences of sins and much more.
This course is based on the renowned and accepted explanation of the Qur'aan entitled Tafseer ibn Kathir by Imaam ibn Kathir.
"Blessed is He Who sent down the the Criterion to His slave that he may be a warner to mankind and jinn" {Al Furqan: 1}
Surah Al Furqan is the 25th Surah from the Qur'an and consisting of just 77 Ayaat it is often recited. Yet, how many of us have reflected over the meanings of the Ayaat of this Surah from the Qur'an? How much do we know of the circumstances surrounding their revelation? What lessons can we derive from this beautiful Surah? For these reasons and more, should it then not encourage you to learn about it? The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’aan and teach it” [Bukhaaree]

Written by Shaykh Muhammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab al Wassaabee, the text at hand is a basic text covering many of the basic principles of faith in Islam; from the conditions of the testimony of faith (shahadah), the levels of faith (Islam, Iman, Ihsan), the nullifiers of Islam etc. Therefore, this text serves as a very beneficial introduction to the basics of Islamic Creed (‘Aqeedah).
The course with be delivered by Sheikh Salim al Amry who has engagingly taught this text on a number of occasions. This course does not have any pre-requisites and is suitable for all.
This course is based upon one of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab’s most important book which deals with outlining the key principles in understanding shirk and how to deal with it today in light of the understanding of the Prophet sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. This course will expound on the various types of shirk and its manifestation from a historical and contemporary angle, this course is ideal for those who wish to understand the essence of polytheism and protect themselves from the gravest of all sins. Related issues will be covered such as the types of intercession and issues pertaining to takfeer; a matter which is unfortunately taken very lightly today.
This is one the most important works of Imam Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab, which deals with explaining and refuting the evidences that were used by certain Muslim groups of his time to justify acts of Shirk. The author intended in this work to expose the falsity and speciousness of these arguments by proving that the pagans whom the Prophet fought utilised the exact same arguments and fell prey to the same reasoning as these modern day practitioners of Shirk did.
This course will expound on various types of Shirk and its manifestations from a historical and contemporary angle. The course is ideal for those that wish to understand the essence of polytheism and protect themselves from the gravest of all sins.
The scholars have a saying, that "the nobility of a knowledge, depends upon the nobility of what is being studied". The basis of Aqeedah revolves around the belief of Allah and knowing Him, the Creator, the Greatest, the only One worthy of our worship, therefore there can be no more noble knowledge than that of Aqeedah.
For many of us our knowledge of what we believe as Muslims is very superficial and basic, therefore we are sometimes unable to explain our beliefs and we are not decisive in what we are meant to believe. So questions such who is Allah? How can we worship Him? How can we know about Him? Why did He send the Messengers? Why do we need revelation? How was the revelation sent to us? remain un-answered in our minds.
This course is designed to address these deficiencies and reinforce our faith in the basic tenets of Islamic Aqeedah and delve into some of the finer details of our faith. The book studied in this course is 'The Fundamentals of Faith' by Shiekh Muhammad Ibn Salih Al Uthaymeen.
There are three matters which every individual will be questioned about in their graves; therefore it is essential that every believer has a good understanding of these affairs.
Knowledge and awareness of Allaah makes a person accept and submit to what He has prescribed. Allaah is the sole Lord who created and fashioned everything. He is the Lord of the 'Alameen, the Owner of the Day of Recompense thus He alone should we worship.
This religion of Islaam, which the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was sent with, abrogates all of the previous religions. It is the only religion acceptable to Allaah. Allaah says, 'And whoever seeks a religion other than Islaam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.' [3:85]
Allaah sent the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) with guidance for mankind. Through him and that which was revealed to him, i.e. the Qur’aan and Sunnah, He clarified all that is beneficial to man in their religious and worldly affairs.
The course is based on a small treatise on the subject of ‘aqeedah called Usool ath-Thalaatha (The Three Fundamental Principles) authored by the honourable Shaykh ul-Islaam Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhaab (d.1206H). This course will focus on the knowledge of: Allaah, the religion, and the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم).
Tawheed is a condition for an action to be accepted by Allaah and a means of protection from the Hellfire: “[O mankind], do not make [as equal] with Allaah another deity, lest you be thrown into Hell, blamed and banished” [17:39]. If a person dies upon it he will enter Paradise and such a state can only be attained through knowledge of Tawheed – the noblest branch of knowledge. Thus, it is the duty of every sincere believer to acquire this knowledge of Tawheed.
“And to Allaah belong the most beautiful Names, so call upon Him using them” [7:180]
This course covers one of the most important books, Masa'il Al Jahiliyyah (Aspects of the Days of Ignorance), written by Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab, dealing with the 128 characteristics prevalent amongst the people in the Time of Ignorance which the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم opposed. This work is of paramount importance to Muslim belief and identity, even in our times when many of these characteristics have re-emerged, so that we may purge ourselves of such traits and return to the pure tawheed and guidance as ordained by Allah and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.
The law of love states: "You love what your loved one loves, and you hate what your loved one hates".
As sincere devotees and worshippers of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, we should only do what He loves and avoid what He hates. Doing what He loves is for our benefit and avoiding things He hates saves us from harm. Therefore knowing what He loves and hates is vital in attaining is pleasure and eventually being granted Jannah.
This course serves as a heart softener, reminding us about the way in which we should worship Allah and the way in which we should fear His punishments.
With the passing of time and as prophesied by the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, more and more deviations from the pure Tawhid as preached by the Prophets عليهم السلام have become apparent. We now live in a time when those who claim to be Muslims and adherents to this same pure Tawhid demonstrate their extreme veneration for saints and righteous personages by erecting mausoleums on their graves, supplicating to them, seek their help in time of need and adversity. Their beliefs have been so corrupted that they hold beliefs regarding these same personages that go beyond the superstitious and absurd.
With this gross aberration of the pure monotheistic Deen of Islaam, it is imperative that each and every Muslim familiriase themselves with the beliefs of the saved sect, Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah, and its stance towards those who would seek to deviate from the straight path. This course deals with issues such as supplicating to Allah, reliance upon Him, resorting to Him in times of need, the true concept of worship and the deviation of grave-worship.
This course is an explanation of the small treatise "Purifying the Heart from Disbelief & Polytheism" by Imam Muhammad Ibn Isma'il As Sana'ani.
Purification is a condition of salaah. Allaah says, “O you, who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allaah does not intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favour upon you that you may be grateful.” [5:6]. In order for our salaah to be accepted one must be in a state of both physical and spiritual purity (tahaarah) thus one is required to know certain issues concerning it, such as the nullifiers of purity.
The course is based on the classical and world renowned Hanbali text, ‘Umdatul Ahkaam by the illustrious Imam, scholar and jurist al-Haafidh ‘Abdul-Ghaniyy al-Maqdisi (rahimahullaah). It is a collection of ahadeeth - a summarised work of prophetic traditions related to rulings (ahkaam).
Umdatul Fiqh serves as a primer to the study of hanbali fiqh. The author of this text, Ibn Qudamah al Maqdisi is considered not just a master of hanbali fiqh, rather he is rightly considered a master of comparative fiqh as his magnum opus al Mughni clearly shows. Succinct and concise, this text is an ideal starting point to study the fiqh of Salah.
Knowing how to do an action is a prerequisite to having the correct intention and performing it correctly. Therefore it is incumbent upon each of us to familiarise ourselves with the rulings regarding one the greatest forms of worship Allah has commanded His believing servants to perform, fasting during the month of Ramadhaan.
Based on the classical text ‘Umdatul Fiqh by Ibn Qudamah al Maqdisi, this course will focus on the following juristic issues: Preconditions, recognising the start of the month, matters that nullify the fast, expiations for breaking the fast, ‘I’tikaaf (spiritual retreat) as well as contemporary issues.
This is a companion course to "Spiritual Preparation for Ramadhaan" and should be studied in conjunction with this other course to maximise the benefits reaped during the month of Ramadhaan.
This course will cover the essential knowledge of the juristic issues pertaining to the sacred pilgrimage. The conditions, obligations, pillars and recommendations etc will all be covered to ensure that every student knows exactly how to perform the hajj. Additional visual presentations will be used throughout the course to clarify the rites in detail. If you are short of time and only have a few hours to spare to learn these rites, then this course will be ideal for you.
Allaah has laid down laws and legislations which every believer is required to uphold in all aspects of his life. Therefore a servant of Allaah pays great attention to the Shar’i rulings pertaining to his clothing, his food, his drink, his earning etc. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) stated the importance of consuming halaal, in this world and the next, for instance he (صلى الله عليه وسلم) informed us that eating haraam will be a cause for the rejection of our supplications. For this reason the Muslim should be aware of eating that which is it not permissible to eat, and clothing himself with that which he is not permitted to be clothed in.
This course aims to inshaaAllaah deal with the topics of food and clothing and its various rulings, which many are unaware of, through the study of hadeeth.This course is based on a work on Hanbali fiqh titled ‘Umdatul Ahkaam. The book is authored by the renowned scholar ‘Abdul-Ghaniyy al-Maqdisi. It is a collection of ahadeeth from Bukhaaree and Muslim.
Just as a Muslim is expected to live his life according the laws as ordained by Allah, he is likewise expected to obey these laws following a death, as in the funeral, the payment of debts, execution of a will and distribution of the remaining estate amongst the heirs according to the Shariah.
This course is an introduction the science of the laws of inheritance, dealing with the fundamentals of this knowledge.
Man and woman have been created differently - they are physically, psychologically and emotionally different – and these differences have an effect on the way they live their lives. Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “And the male is not like the female.” [3:36]. The Sharee’ah appreciates the importance of these differences and places different roles, responsibilities and rulings upon them – each complementing the other.
The status of the Muslim woman in Islaam is one of nobility and honour, and her role in the cultivation of a righteous society is one of great importance for she is the initial teacher in the life of every Muslim. Throughout this course you will study issues and rulings concerning the Muslim woman, such as specific rulings related to her beautification, clothing, Hajj & ‘Umrah and other matters which you need to know and cannot afford to be ignorant in.
Allaah says, “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me” [51:56]. Therefore we are obliged to seek the knowledge in those matters which we require in order to fulfil our duties to Him. Ibn al-Jawzi said: “A woman is an accountable individual just as a man is. She is obliged to seek knowledge of her duties so that she may perform them properly”.
This course is based on a book written by the respected scholar Dr. Saalih al-Fawzaan, entitled Fiqh Pertaining to Women (Tanbeehaat ‘alaa Ahkaamin Takhtassu bil-Mu’minaat).
This is a topic which applies to every Muslimah; therefore, it is an essential course to study. Many of the fuqahaa mention that it is obligatory upon every Muslimah to educate herself on these issues. To be unaware of these issues may lead to her displeasing Allah by leaving something that is obligatory or performing something that is unlawful. This is because haid is a state of impurity and purity plays a very big role in many of the acts of worship we are required to do like salaah, sawm, recitation of Qur’aan etc. therefore, it is necessary for a muslimah to learn about these issues as it will directly affect her worship of Allah and hence affect her relationship with Allah.
This course will cover all the rulings pertaining to Haid (menstruation) as well as Istihaadah (irregular bleeding) and Nifaas (post-partum bleeding). There are also other important issues such as Tahaarah (cleanliness) which will be covered.
This course will be based upon Sheikh Saalih Al ‘Uthaimeen’s ‘The Natural Blood of Women’.
This course is based upon Imam Al-Haafidh ‘Abd al-Ghaniyy al-Maqdasi’s collection of ahaadith found in the Sahih of both Imam Al-Bukhari and Imam Muslim, pertaining to ahkaam. This is a fiqh of hadith course so students will be learning the fiqhi ruling directly from the hadith.
By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of marriage; why it has been legislated, the benefits of getting married and the procedure. Students will also have a sound understanding of the issue of divorce, the dowry, conditions which may be stipulated, the waiting period, suckling and how to establish paternity amongst many other related topics. This is an ideal course for anyone who wants a good understanding of the key fiqhi issues surrounding marriage and its related subjects.
A righteous and stable family is an essential component of any just society as well as being a condition for one to attain inner peace and tranquillity. This course will cover topics essential for anyone wanting to start a family or simply for those who want to improve their family relations. Amongst the topics that will be covered:
- The Fiqh of marriage
- Divorce and marriage maintenance
- How to welcome new children into the family etc.
The course will be based on numerous works of fiqh and tarbiyyah.
Usool ul Fiqh is essentially the science of studying the sources and principles of fiqh and understanding how to apply them in order to derive rulings on particular issues. Though this is done by a scholar/mujtahid, studying this subject will broaden one’s understanding and enable students to see the reasons for the differences of opinions amongst the scholars. In doing so, one is better equipped to understand and appreciate the process of ijtihaad, thus protect students from falling into the extreme of ‘madhab fanaticism’ whereby one completely closes the doors to ijtihaad. At a time when there is so much confusion regarding issues of taqleed and differences of opinion, this course is an essential for those who want clarification.
This course will look at the evidence for the key sources of the religion and give a detailed definition of each one. This course will also cover the five main legal maxims of fiqh (al-qawaa’id al-fiqhiyyah) and touch upon the higher objectives of the Shari’ah (al-maqaasid ash-Shari’ah) in order to enable students to appreciate the beautiful aspects of the Shari’ah and most importantly the One Who gave us this way of life which revolves around bringing about ease and maximising benefit.
This course is based on Imam As-Sa’di’s ‘Brief Essay Concerning Usool ul Fiqh’.
Our history starts with the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم). A person should seek knowledge of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) since it is one of the things which he will be asked about when he is buried in his grave, and this knowledge is achieved by studying his (صلى الله عليه وسلم) life history. Studying the life of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was a habit of the pious predecessors to such an extent that they used to teach their children the Seerah just as they used to teach them the other vital sciences such as Fiqh and Qur’aan. So whoever wishes to increase his eemaan then he should study what he can about his (صلى الله عليه وسلم) life. As a result of studying his (صلى الله عليه وسلم) life one will know the path to success and the method to how Islaam will rise again. It is important to study the early history of Islaam because it exemplifies the correct implementation of the Islamic teachings. Studying the Seerah is studying a miracle. Ibn Hazm said, “Studying the magnificent seerah of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) necessitates belief in him – that he was a messenger of Allaah. If he (صلى الله عليه وسلم) had no other miracle save his seerah, then that surely would suffice.”
“Indeed in the Messenger of Allaah you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allaah and the Last Day and remembers Allaah much” [33:21]
This course is based on a book named ‘The Life of Prophet Muhammad – Highlights and Lessons’ written by Mustafa Sibaa'ie. Dr. as-Sibaa’ie has underlined the main events in the life of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and has presented brief lessons that can be learnt from each incident.

This course is based on the reletively brief 'Mukhtasar Sirah An Nabi' (Abridged Biography of the Prophet) by Hafidh Abdul Ghani Al Maqdisi, which is unlike most books of biography of the Prophet, concentrating on Shama'il (characteristics) and the interactions of the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.
"And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajireen and the Ansaar and those who followed them exactly [in faith]. Allah is well pleased with them as they are well pleased with Him", {Surah At Taubah: 100}
The first generation of Muslim were no doubt the greatest Muslims in terms of their faith, their sacrfice and their honour of having met the greatest of creation, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم. And yet, most Muslims today know less about them than they do about the celebrities they see around them in the media. How can we possibly aspire to follow in their footsteps and reach their ranks when we spend more time learning about the lives of celebrities than the lives of these great men, whom Allah Himself is pleased with.
This course is aimed at those who wish derive benefits from the lives of those who were closest to the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم in his times of need and in making Islam victorious, without whom, undoubtedly Islam would not have reached us.
Often overlooked for their male counterparts, the female companions of the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم are no less role models for Muslims today both male and female, young and old. Their characters, faith and contributions to Islam have left incomparable legacies for the later Muslim generations; about whom Allah عز وجل says: "And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajireen and the Ansaar and those who followed them exactly [in faith]. Allah is well pleased with them as they are well pleased with Him", {Surah At Taubah: 100}, can there be a higher accolade from The All Mighty, The High.
This course is designed for brothers and sister alike who aspire to having higher moral character and stronger faith, with examples from the lives of such noble personalities as Khadeejah, Aisha, Faatimah and Umm Salamah رضي الله عنهن.
Ruled by Muslims for 800 years, Spain (Al Andalus) and its rich historical heritage owe a great deal to the enlightened period of Muslim rule. Often overlooked and frequently ignored, this course is a reminder of the lasting legacy of Islam and its influence in that region.Covering the conquest to the height of its power and then to the eventual decline some 800 years later, this course is an introduction to the history and luminary figures of this region.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم is reported to have said: "I was only sent to perfect moral character" {Reported by Bukhari, Muslim & Ahmad}
The gravitas and comprehensive nature of these words are beyond measure. Scholars have explained this Hadith to have implications for every dimension in the life of every human being; from his manners with himself and his manners with other human beings to the manners with which he deals with his Lord, Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
At a time when moral degradation and social problems are rife, aspiring for and developing upright characteristics within oneself is of paramount importance in order to affect a change within ourselves, our families, our communities and the human race as a whole.
The book studied in this course, 'Upright Moral Character' by the eminent scholar, Shaiekh Muhammad Ibn Salih Al Uthaymeen, seeks to address this, with remedies from the one with the most upright character, the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم. Portions from 'The Comprehensive Book' from 'Buloogh Al Maraam' dealing with good manners will also be studied.
This course focuses on ‘ibaadah and one of our goals should be to improve our acts of ‘ibaadah. If the worshipper remembers that Allaah is watching him, this will make him do his act of worship well and enable him to reach a high status thereby. Allaah says: “So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord – let him do righteous actions and not associate anyone in the worship of his Lord” [18:110]
There are two fundamental pillars in improving ones ‘ibaadah: having knowledge of the action and knowledge of the virtue of the action. When one is heedless of the virtue, he becomes lazy in performing in it. Having knowledge of the virtue will serve as an encouragement to perform the good deed. This knowledge will also help him to realize and understand the rank of the action in front of Allaah, assisting him to increase in closeness to Him. One of the reasons why Allaah created us was to see who amongst us has the best in deeds. Allaah says: “And it is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and His Throne had been upon water - that He might test you as to which of you is best in deed.” [11:7]
This course is based on the book: The Virtues of Good Actions, a collection of ahadeeth, written by the great scholar and one of the great Imaams in hadeeth Al-Haafidh Al-Mundhiree. The course will cover four major sections: Prayer, Fasting, Charity, and Supplication & Remembrance.
The Qur’aan has given great importance to purification. Allaah says, “The Day when they will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children but only one who comes to Allaah with a sound heart” [26:88-89]. When traversing on a path towards Allaah we need to equip ourselves by having a sound heart.
This course seeks to explain some of the qualities of the heart which a person is required to embrace as part of his journeying to Him such as: sincerity, love, fear and hope. We are living in a secular society which has no spirituality, separating religion from its day-to-day life. We should yearn for spirituality because by being in a strong spiritual state a person will be firmer and more beloved to Allaah.
The course is based on an explanation of a short didactic poem entitled ‘The Exquisite Pearls’, written by the late scholar Shaykh Naasir al-Sa’dee (d. 1376H).
Emaan (faith) is a believer’s most prized possession for it is his key to salvation in this life and the hereafter. Knowing how to strengthen it when it becomes weak is of paramount importance, and more importantly; being able to recognise weak faith is essential since without such knowledge one would be unable to try and renew his faith. This course by the will of Allah (swt) will acquaint each student with practical knowledge as to how to increase one’s faith.
The course is based on the well known treatise of Shaykh Muhammad Salih al Munajjid: The Weakness of Emaan: Symptoms & Cures.
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “In the body there is a piece of flesh: if it is sound the whole body will be sound and if it is corrupt then the whole body will be corrupt”.
Al-Haafidh ibn Hajr al-Asqalaanee said, “The heart has been singled out because it is the leader of the body, and through the purification of the leader the subjects become purified, and with his corruption they become corrupted”.
This course seeks to soften the hearts through reminding its readers about the akhirah – its rewards and punishments, the merits of particular qualities of the heart, and how one should view and live life.
The course is based on the well-known collection of ahadeeth, Saheeh al-Bukhaaree, compiled by Imaam Bukhaaree (d. 256H). The book of Ar-Riqaaq deals with the hadeeth that makes the heart soft by affecting the emotions and feelings of the one who hears it.
Ramadhan is the month in which Allah Glorified and Exalted is He, frees a multitude of His slaves from the torment of the Hellfire. And yet, for many of us this auspicious month has been reduced to nothing more than not eating during daylight hours and then indulging in excessive eating! Or, not fully realising the great mercy Allah has placed during this month and allowing it to pass yet again without having gained His pleasure and salvation from His wrath.
This course deals with the spiritual preparation every Muslim should take before Ramadhan; rectifying his intentions, being cognisant of the benefits and rewards, and doing all the requisite actions to achieve this before letting this month pass by yet again.
This is a companion course to "The Fiqh of Ramadhan" and has been developed using various texts, most notably "Lataaif Al Ma'arif" by Hafiz Ibn Rajab Al Hanbali.
The Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "No one meets Allaah with the testimony that there is none worthy of worship but Allaah and I am the Messenger of Allaah, and he has no doubt about hat statement, except that he will enter Paradise." (Recorded by Muslim)
There is no question that the mere saying of the Shahadah: "I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger" is not sufficient for salvation. In fact, the Munafiqeen ( hypocrites) used to make this statement quite often yet Allah describes them as liars and says that they shall abide in the lowest abyss of the Hell-fire.
Therefore it is incumbent upon every believer that they fulfill the conditions of this statement and not remain complacent that simply saying these words will suffice us. This course will delve into the finer details of this defining statement that distinguishes the true believer from those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messenger.
"And [there is a share for] those who came after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful."" {Surah Al Hashr: 10}
The Prophet SAW advised his Ummah to follow the ways of the pious predecessors and warned us not to innovate, this lecture is reminder of these things and aboout the ways in which the Salaf performed their actions and their unadulterated beliefs. At a time when modernisers are seeking to undermine the very bases of our religion and innovate in the way in which the texts are understood, this is a timely reminder of the ways of the best generations which we should seek to emulate.
"And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands' fathers, or their sons or their husbands' sons, or their brothers or their brothers' sons or sisters' sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack vigour, or children who know naught of women's nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah together, O believers, in order that ye may succeed." {Surah An Noor: 30}
At a time when immorality and obscenity is rife, an issue that has come to the fore, is the way in which true believing Muslim women dress. It is vital, now more than ever, that all Muslims learn what Hijaab and Niqaab mean and its rulings, in order that we may save ourselves from the fire and succeed in this world and in the hereafter.
"Indeed in the Messenger of Allâh (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the Meeting with) Allâh and the Last Day, and remembers Allâh much." {Al Ahzaab: 21}
This is a short seminar on an aspect of the Seerah often overlooked, dealing with the emotions and feelings of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم during the events and hardships he faced during his lifetime. Covering his entire life, from his birth and life before Prophethood, to his married life and Da'wah to an obstinate and disbelieving people; this seminar is an insight into the emotional states and strength of character of the greatest of all creation صلى الله عليه وسلم, it serves as an example and a reminder to us all especially when dealing with the trials of this worldly life.

Through the institution of marriage, Allah سبحانه وتعالى has favoured us with ennumerable blessings: completing half of one's deen, a means to increase in our Rizq, a means to having children and following the Sunnah of the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم himself. But many of the less obvious blessings can go unrealised because we do not have the correct understanding of marriage, what it entails and how to reolve issues that will inevitably arise within married life.
This course is designed for both believing men and women, married and single, in order for them to appreciate the great blessing of marriage and sustain a happy one. Taught by two scholars, it covers both the fiqh of marriage and advice for attaining a blissful marriage.

Allah, the Mighty and Exalted says in His Qur'an, "Ramadan is the month in which was sent down the Qur'an as a guide to mankind also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong). So everyone of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spent it in fasting, but if anyone is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you He does not want to put you to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful" {Surah Al Baqarah: 185}

These are some of the questions that will be answered in this course, which is taken from a seminar given by Shaykh Nasir Al Hamd.

"I have been studying at Tayyibun Institute since 2008 and last year I moved to Saudi Arabia. Although I was very happy, I soon realized that I could not seek knowledge without first learning the Arabic Language. Whilst learning Arabic I also wanted to seek Islamic knowledge. I saw some online courses but felt that it would not be as good as Tayyibun Institute, so I was very happy when I found out that they have online courses. Even though one might think that their online courses are not as good as the centre, it turned out to be better than going to the centre, not only because I live in Saudi Arabia but mainly because you will be able to study in your own time. From what I have experienced I can say that the courses at Tayyibun Institute (and online) are very much practical. Jazaahum'Allahu Khairan"
